Nykidra “Nyki” Robinson
Founder, CEO

Nykidra “Nyki” Robinson serves as the Founder and CEO. As a “millennial on the move,” Nyki’s life and work experience combined with her interest in politics was the birthing ground for the delivery of BGV. A graduate of Randallstown High School, this Baltimore native attended Frostburg State University and graduated with a degree in business administration and minor in leadership studies. Upon graduation, Nyki was accepted into an international education program in Beijing, China. This experience not only gave her the opportunity to interact with students from around the world, but to also build lifelong relationships.Nyki has served as a Neighborhood Liaison in the Mayor’s Office, Director of Outreach in the Lt. Governor’s Office and Special Assistant to Assistant Secretary of Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD). While in these positions, she was able to actualize the impact of policy decisions, interface with residents regarding neighborhood initiatives, plans, and requests and organize numerous events.Nyki enjoys traveling, attending live performances, empowering women and girls, expanding her network and spending time with her family. Kisha Banks
Executive Assistant to the CEO and Founder

Kisha Banks serves as the Executive Assistant to the CEO and Founder of Black Girls’ Vote, Inc. Working in the human services field since 2004, she has devoted her career to working in thecommunity with children and families. Kisha Banks is currently the Sr. Family Services Coordinator Supervisor at the St. Vincent de Paul Head Start Program. Kisha has spent years advocating for early childhood education and early intervention services through working for Early Head Start, Head Start, and other agencies that support the 0-5 population and their families in various states. She is a graduate of Coppin State University and currently working on her second Masters degree in Social Work. Her goal is to take an active role, professionally, in addressing social problems and to challenge social and economic injustice. In 2014, she co-founded Mission Nutrition, Inc. a non-profit focused on health education for families and children to raise awareness on childhood obesity overall improving health practices for families. Kellie P. Easton
Senior Vice President of Business Development

Kellie serves as the Director of Business Development and is responsible for spearheading all business development initiatives consistent with the organization’s overall mission and goals. As an established brand consultant and business development strategist for Easton Strategy Group, Kellie has adept experience with businesses development, coordinating and implementing marketing and communications strategies and assisting small business owners with establishing their business models. Kellie has worked with an extensive list of women and minority business leaders on various business development efforts. Kellie brings over 15 years of diverse experience in marketing, branding, project management and coordination, program management and planning to the BGV Executive Team.Kellie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems and Sciences as well as a professional certification in Event Management. Nicole Francis
Special Assistant to the CEO

Nicole serves as the Chief Operations Officer for the organization and is responsible for creating a systemic support system that aligns with BGV, Inc.’s strategies and operations. She partners with the CEO and the Executive Team to provide the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that the organization has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, people and systems in place to effectively grow and ensure financial strength and operating efficiencies.Nicole joins the organization after serving more than 16 years in various C- Level leadership roles with Fortune 500 companies as well as start-ups spanning across various industries such as customer service management, call center operations, technical support management, business to business sales, retail sales management, media and publishing management, and non profit management. She positively impacted these organizations through her dedication to excellence, and a willingness to go “above and beyond’ to achieve the desired results. She has been recognized and awarded for leadership and organizational development as well as strategic planning.She is currently a Managing Partner and Development Strategist for Easton Strategy Group, a marketing, business, brand and professional development-consulting firm focused on small businesses, nonprofit organizations and professionals. She provides overall strategic direction for the Leadership and Executive development segment of this organization.Nicole is also an Executive Consultant to the Lozen Group, LLC a technology firm focused on transforming small businesses and organizations into digital pioneers by providing cutting edge digital marketing solutions and support in Information and Technology management.Her interests include developing future leaders, writing, and the empowerment of women. Tamyra Garcia
President of Policy

Tamyra serves as President of Policy and coordinates strategic planning and development, policy analyses and data collection/communication activities for the organization. She is a native of Baltimore, Maryland and a 2004 graduate of Spelman College. She migrated to New York City shortly after graduating from Spelman to attend Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health where she received her MPH in Epidemiology in 2006. Yolanda Winkler
Vice President of Policy

Yolanda serves as Vice President of Policy and is responsible for team building, directing and advancing the organization’s positions on national, state and local policies. She is a lifelong resident of Baltimore City, Maryland, a graduate of Towson University’s Business Program and Morgan State University’s Masters of Business Program. Yolanda is currently Director of Government Affairs in Baltimore County, Maryland where she utilizes her more than 20 years of experience in the political arena directing and overseeing the County’s legislative and fiscal agenda. Monique Lyle
Director of Communications

Monique serves as the Director of Communications and is responsible for directing the public relations efforts for the organization. She is a native of Michigan and a graduate of Morgan State University. Monique has over 15 years of experience in public health. She currently serves as the Public Information Officer for the Baltimore County Department of Health and Human Services where she utilizes a rare blend of communications and administrative strengths coupled with graphic design skills. Renee McBride
Co-Vice President of Outreach

Renee McBride serves as Co-Vice President of Outreach. Renee is a native of Boston, Massachusetts who migrated to Baltimore, Maryland after a job relocation of her single mother in the late 1990’s. She is a graduate of Virginia State University and holds a Master’s Degree in Education with a concentration in Curriculum and Instruction. Her passion is the cultivation and education of children and she has dedicated her service to the students of Baltimore City Public Schools at Friendship Preparatory Academy at Calverton for the past 10 years. She is the loving and supportive wife of Romero McBride and the mother to 3 beautiful daughters Sydni, Rylin and Reagan. Shirmel R. Wiggs
Co-Vice President of Outreach

Shirmel serves as the Co-Vice President of Outreach. She is responsible for compiling a team of Volunteers and Ambassadors that will lead the charge at all BGV Pop-Up’s and Events. These pop-ups allow individuals to be engaged, empowered and educated regarding their rights as well as registering people to vote. Shirmel is a native of New York; she received her Bachelors Degree in Finance from Hampton University and is a current resident of Baltimore. She currently operates as a Financial Coach who loves helping families accomplish their specific goals and dreams. Ebonee Nelson
Director of Programming

Ebonee Nelson serves as the Director of Programming for Black Girls Vote, Inc. where she is responsible for the operational success of the organization. As the CEO & President of her own technology firm the Lozen Group, she works with the Executive team members, Communication and IT staff to implement digital marketing activities to increase awareness of BGV’s initiatives and campaigns. Ebonee brings her talent, time and expertise to Black Girls Vote to provide leadership and program operational management, with a special focus on the critical need of technology integration and automation. She is an external face of BGV in the community and works diligently to cultivate existing and new relationships to ensure the organization has sufficient resources and access to services. Ebonee is a recognized millennial leader and future fellow in the community who has worked in the nonprofit sector for 5 years, focused on program and operational management in the workforce development segment. Ebonee is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in IT management at the University of Baltimore and continues to build upon her existing portfolio of technical certifications.
